Eva Cheng, CPA

Vice President, Finance

Eva (Hua) Cheng joined The John A. Hartford Foundation in 2001 and is currently serving as Vice President, Finance. Throughout her tenure with the Foundation, Eva has also served in the role of Senior Accountant, Assistant Controller, Director of Finance/Controller, and Chief Financial Officer/Treasurer. In her current role, Eva is responsible for accounting and financial reporting, monitoring investment performance of the Foundation’s portfolio, taxes, budgeting, and other administrative functions. Prior to joining The John A. Hartford Foundation, she served as a senior financial analyst at D.E. Shaw and has also held tax/accounting positions with Sanwa Bank and Spectrum Capital, a subsidiary of The Mitsubishi Trust & Banking Corporation. Mrs. Cheng earned a BS degree in Accounting, cum laude, from the Stern School of Business at New York University. She is a CPA licensed in New York State, and a member of Foundation Financial Officers Group (FFOG), Foundation Financial Managers Group (FFMG) and Foundation Administrators Network (FAN). She is fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin.
