Rutuma Gandhi

Accounting Manager

Rutuma (Rutu) M. Gandhi joined The John A. Hartford Foundation on December 14, 2010 and currently serves as the Foundation's Accounting Manager. In this role she assists the Chief Financial Officer in the preparation of quarterly financial reports and analyses for the Board of Trustees, budget forecasting, year-end closing, and tax returns. She is also responsible for preparing journal entries for investment transactions, tracking returns of private equity and real estate funds, reconciling accounts, and overseeing accounts payable. Prior to joining the Foundation, Ms. Gandhi pursued her position at the Bank of NY Mellon as a Staff Accountant for three years, where she gained an immense amount of experience in reconciliation and unclaimed property. She graduated with her BA in Accounting from Rutgers University, New Jersey.
