Maryama Diaw is a first-year MPH student at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health in the Department of Population and Family Health pursuing a certificate in Global Health. Maryama’s professional interests include preventing non-communicable diseases, aging in sub-Saharan African communities, addressing economic inequities, and advocating for quality access to healthcare for people of color and immigrants in the United States. Maryama holds a Bachelor of Arts from Dartmouth College (Geography modified Arabic major).
