NCQA Video on Developing Quality Measures that Address Older Adults Needs

The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) has released a short video which talks about developing a way to measure quality of care for those who are older or who need specialized care.

Right now, existing quality measures don’t capture what’s most important to people, particularly older adults with functional limitations and complex health issues. The video is part of an NCQA blog, Measuring Quality for People with Complex Needs, which talks about understanding a person's priorities as the starting point to measuring quality.

As mentioned in the blog, The John A. Hartford Foundation and The SCAN Foundation co-fund an NCQA quality measurement project.
