Upcoming Discussion on The Cost of Caring: Family Caregivers and Tax Reform
The Hill is convening key policymakers for a discussion about the cost of family caregiving and the efforts to help family caregivers who face financial challenges. The event will be held on July 13th, 7:45am - 9:15am in Washington, DC.
Bipartisan efforts are currently underway in Congress to provide a tax credit to working family caregivers, including tax relief for child care and dependent expenses, given more than 40 million Americans are providing unpaid care to family members to help them live independently at home and avoid more expensive institutional care. Speakers will include Senator Tammy Baldwin, Senator Joni Ernst, Congressman Donovan, and Congresswoman Grisham.
