Center for Medicare Advocacy Featured in News Segment on Hospital Observation Status

KOMO News, an ABC affiliate in WA State, ran a television news story on February 2nd, "Hospital admission or observation? New law requires disclosure so you know the difference."

Toby Edelman, a Center Senior Policy Attorney at the Center for Medicare Advocacy, was interviewed for the story by Connie Thompson on the complex rules on hospital readmissions, costs that can be incurred, and the federal NOTICE Act.

The John A. Hartford Foundation provides support to the Center for Medicare Advocacy under the grant, "Reducing Harm to Medicare Beneficiaries - Improving Hospital Observation Status and Other Policies."
