Diverse Elders Coalition Resources for Providers: Meeting the Needs of Diverse Family Caregivers Toolkit

DEC toolkit

The Diverse Elders Coalition (DEC) has released a new toolkit, "Caring for Those Who Care - Resources for Providers: Meeting the Needs of Diverse Family Caregivers Toolkit."

The toolkit offers topline information on what providers need to know about meeting the needs of diverse family caregivers and key pieces from DEC's comprehensive training curriculum, "Caring For Those Who Care: Meeting the Needs of Diverse Family Caregivers." The resources aim to help providers support diverse family caregivers and help providers in building a more welcoming, supportive practice.

The toolkit includes "What Providers Should Know Factsheets" and diverse family caregiving resources such as information on national caregiving resources, ten things to know about language-access advocacy for older adults and COVID-19 resources for diverse family caregivers.

The toolkit was created by the six members of the Diverse Elders Coalition, with funding from The John A. Hartford Foundation.
