Home Centered Care Institute Video: Rethinking Modern Medicine

HBPC video

The Home Centered Care Institute (HCCI) has created a short video, "Rethinking Modern Medicine," about a home-based primary care visit.

Known as the “modern-day house call,” home-based primary care is exactly what it sounds like — physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants traveling to a patient’s home, or the place they call “home,” to deliver primary care services.

Spotlighting the full scope of what happens during an initial home-based primary care visit, the video includes the overall assessment, exam, and conversation with the caregiver. It is also intended to touch on how house calls can help people feel cared for and connected through "high touch" and "high tech."
