(Recording) Webinar #3 for State Departments of Health and Other Stakeholders: Education-based Programs to Engage and Expand the LTC Workforce

The CDC, JAHF and other stakeholder organizations held a webinar on December 6th that presented educational collaboratives that could be models for supporting expansion of the geriatrics/long-term care workforce.

This was the third webinar in a series intended to connect public health and long-term care organizations during their planning and implementation of activities funded by the Nursing Home and Long-term Care Facilities Strike Teams and Infrastructure Project.

Strike Team funding of $500 million from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) of 2021 has been awarded through the CDC's Epidemiology and Laboratory Capacity (ELC) Cooperative Agreement to support nursing homes and long-term care communities.

Intended audience: All sections of state departments of health that have a role in pandemic response (including project directors for the ELC Cooperative Agreement, HAI/AR prevention, preparedness, surveyors) and state/local stakeholder organizations representing: nursing homes and other long-term care providers, clinical staff, residents and families, state quality improvement partners and state licensing boards for clinical staff including LPNs, CNAs.
