The Society for Academic Emergency Medicine has published a special open access issue, "Proceedings of the 2016 AEM Consensus Conference: Shared Decision Making in the Emergency Department" in its journal. 

Many of the papers in Academic Emergency Medicine December 2016 special issue focus on care of older adults or reference JAHF work, including the following two articles:

1) "Funding Research in Emergency Department Shared Decision Making: A Summary of the 2016 Academic Emergency Medicine Consensus Conference Panel Discussion" discusses strategies and opportunities to secure funding in emergency department shared decision making research;

2) "Shared Decision Making to Improve the Emergency Care of Older Adults: A Research Agenda" details a research agenda for shared decision making in the emergency department.

Both papers include The John A. Hartford staff Amy Berman and Marcus Escobedo as authors.
