NASEM Workshop: Improving Access to and Equity of Care for People with Serious Illness
The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM) is hosting a one-day workshop in Washington, DC on April 4, "Improving Access to and Equity of Care for People with Serious Illness."
The agenda will cover a range of issues including barriers that impede access to care for people with serious illness, strategies to build trust and effectively engage patients, families, and caregivers in diverse backgrounds, approaches to enhance diversity of workforce, models of care delivery that serves vulnerable populations with serious illness, and research gaps.
