New Geriatrics-for-Specialists Initiative Resources

The American Geriatrics Society (AGS) Geriatrics-for-Specialists Initiative (GSI), supported by The John A. Hartford Foundation for over 25 years, has released two new resources. GSI's mission is to improve the wellbeing of America’s older adults by increasing specialty physicians’ competence in geriatrics.

The resources are:

  • A Virtual Issue of the Journal of the American Geriatrics Society (JAGS) compiles articles related to the GSI and a complementary JAHF-funded internal medicine specialty initiative.
  • The second resource, available at GeriatricsCareOnline.org, is a companion to the JAGS issue that offers all articles, best practice guidelines and the Geriatrics for Specialists Residents toolkits.
