Webcast: EMchat - Treating Geriatric Patients in the Emergency Department

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Employee Education System and Specialty Care Services are presenting an "EMchat: Treating Geriatric Patients in the Emergency Department" on December 20.

More than 45% of VA Emergency Department (ED) visits are from Veterans 65 years of age and older. This live, knowledge-based webcast will focus on how ED providers and staff can best meet the needs of the 65 and older Veteran populace, aiding in providing the most optimal outcomes possible for this vulnerable population.

This training is intended for ED staff including physicians, nurses, pharmacists and psychologists. The U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs has graciously opened up the broadcast to VA and non VA members.
