Resources for Integrated Care is holding a webinar on May 16, "Supporting Older Adults With Substance Use Disorders."

Substance use disorders (SUD) are a significant public health concern for the growing population of older adults. By 2020, the number of older adults with SUD in the United States is expected to rise from 2.8 million in 2002-2006 to 5.7 million. The webinar will describe substance use disorder (SUD) screening tools, how to effectively diagnose SUD, and available treatment resources with the aim of empowering providers and health plans to better care for older adults with SUD. Speakers will also discuss the need for care coordination for older adults affected by SUD.

The webinar is part of the Geriatric-Competent Care Webinar Series (2018).
