Health Affairs GrantWatch blog has published an article, "Building A New Conversation About Caregiving."
The article talks about initiatives to offer respite care to family caregivers of older adults, and notes that, "Respite services represent a true win–win, benefitting the health and well-being of both caregivers and the older adult for whom they care."
The National Academy of Medicine’s Families Caring for an Aging America report, published in 2016, addresses the state of caregiving in this country, needs for the future, and policies required to support family caregivers. The blog notes the funders, including The John A. Hartford Foundation, and talks about recommended interventions and initiatives that are underway.
