Philanthropy News Digest has published an article, "People in the News," that notes Scott Bane's new appointment at The John A. Hartford Foundation.

"Scott Bane has joined the New York City-based John A. Hartford Foundation as a program officer. Bane has more than a decade of experience in philanthropy and previously worked at the Mertz Gilmore Foundation, where he worked in the areas of LGBT rights, sustainable communities, and the arts, and the JEHT Foundation, where he led the exploration and development of its palliative care grantmaking program and helped launch the foundation’s criminal justice work, with a focus on mental health issues and on helping men and women re-enter society after incarceration."
