Hospital at Home Users Group Webinar Series
The Hospital at Home Users Group is hosting a webinar series for hospital and system leaders interested in learning about implementation opportunities and challenges associated with the new CMS waiver supporting Acute Hospital Care at Home. The next webinar is on June 29, "Looking Ahead: Hospital at Home Beyond the Public Health Emergency."
The CMS waiver that established the Acute Hospital Care at Home program and set off a dramatic expansion of hospital at home programs across the country is only in effect during the current public health emergency. The webinar will gather inside-the-Beltway experts to discuss efforts already underway to educate legislators around the merits of a waiver extension (or at least flexibility), opportunities for, and approaches to a CMMI-supported Hospital at Home (HaH) demonstration, and the growing evidence base (and data requirements) that HaH advocates can use to make the case for our work in the halls of power. Speakers will also review developing plans to build a broad-based coalition in support of a variety of payment policies and regulations necessary to enable hospital at home programs to grow and thrive in the months and years ahead. Panelists include:
- Ray Quintero, Managing Partner, Healthsperien, LLC
- Andrew MacPherson, Managing Partner, Healthsperien, LLC
- Moderator, Albert L. Siu, MD, MSPH, Director, Mount Sinai at Home, Professor & Chair Emeritus, Brookdale Department of Geriatrics & Palliative Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai
