The annual CMS Quality Conference was hosted by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services on May 1-3, 2023. The session recordings are available, including the Age-Friendly Health Systems movement session that took place on May 3.

The Age-Friendly Health Systems (AFHS) movement was featured as part of a day-long series of sessions for nursing homes. Alice Bonner, Senior Advisor for Aging at the Institute of Healthcare Improvement and Chair of the Moving Forward Nursing Home Quality Coalition, presented with nursing home resident, Harvey Wells, to help audience members understand what age-friendly care looks like in the nursing home care setting.

The full conference featured a variety of speakers on health care topics across the quality improvement spectrum, the conference centered around "Building Resilient Communities: Having an Equitable Foundation for Quality Health Care."
