ACS Trauma Quality Programs Best Practices Guidelines for Recognition of Child Abuse, Elder Abuse, and Intimate Partner Violence

The American College of Surgeons (ACS) has released Trauma Quality Programs Best Practices Guidelines for Trauma Center Recognition of Child Abuse, Elder Abuse, and Intimate Partner Violence.

The goal of this best practices guidelines (BPG) is to provide a resource for trauma center health professionals to identify, evaluate, manage, document, and report patients that are victims of abuse. It also provides tools for collecting data, injury coding, and quality indicators to monitor, compare, and improve care.
