Article: JAHF, Cambia Health Launch Palliative Care Awareness Initiative
The Philanthropy News Digest (PND) has published an article, "Hartford, Cambia Health Launch Palliative Care Awareness Initiative," about the Cambia Health Foundation and The John A. Hartford Foundation's partnership to improve care for older adults and others facing serious illness and the end of life.
This partnership will support the Building Public Engagement and Access to Palliative and End-of-Life Care initiative under way at the Cambia Palliative Care Center of Excellence at the University of Washington to improve the way healthcare professionals and patients understand and approach serious illness care.
"To that end, the center will collaborate with seven organizations to disseminate evidence-based innovations and communications designed to reshape public attitudes toward palliative and advance care planning."
