Health Affairs Blog: States Chart A Policy Path To Improve Palliative Care Services Across The Care Continuum

NASHP blog

Health Affairs has published a blog, "States Chart A Policy Path To Improve Palliative Care Services Across The Care Continuum."

Authored by the National Academy for State Health Policy (NASHP), the blog summarizes the State Leadership Council on Palliative Care’s recommendations from a recent convening organized by NASHP to develop guidance for states to implement and expand palliative care. In addition, the blog also highlights successful state strategies.

The recommendations offer an initial framework for states to advance the uptake and quality of palliative care services in their delivery systems. NASHP will issue the council’s full policy recommendations this fall.
