Moving Forward Coalition Webinar: A Conversation with Young Leaders in Aging and Long-Term Care Advocacy

Moving Forward A Conversation with Young Leaders in Aging and Long term Care Advocacy

The Moving Forward Nursing Home Quality Coalition (Moving Forward) is holding a Coalition Conversation May 20 titled, "A Conversation with Young Leaders in Aging and Long-Term Care Advocacy."

A common refrain in elder services and long-term care is that not enough young people are entering the field. With the population aging, this poses a big workforce problem.

Alex Eshelman, Sophia Casale, Jordan Evans, Jonas Weitzman, Kate Poppenhagen, and Shaniece Blair see a different way. Ombudsmen, nursing home administrators, advocates, and scholars are all committed to building a better world for older adults and people with chronic illness and disability, as well as the people who care for them.

During the webinar, the young leaders will discuss why they got involved in the aging and long-term care field, how we can get other young people interested and involved, and what they believe the future of caring for older adults and people with chronic illness and disability can look like.
