Webinar Improving the Access and Outcomes of Home and Community Based Services HCBS Use Among Older Adults of Color Enrolled in Both the Medicare and Medicaid Program Oct 11 1

Community Catalyst is holding a webinar October 11 on, "Improving the Access and Outcomes of Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Use Among Older Adults of Color Enrolled in Both the Medicare and Medicaid Program."

With support from Arnold Ventures, Community Catalyst conducted a project that was aimed at exploring
whether the HCBS system is prepared to meet the needs of aging dually eligible beneficiaries of color.

Their project was guided by two questions: 1) What disparities in access to HCBS exist for dually eligible beneficiaries of color? 2) How can we mitigate the disparities through policy change?

Speakers will discuss their project findings on:

    • General trends in HCBS usage and unmet needs among dually eligible beneficiaries.
    • Demonstrated disparities in access and utilization of HCBS services among beneficiaries of color.
    • The impact and importance of a usual source of care in getting needs met.

The webinar will also highlight policy recommendations to address disparities and the research processes that generated them.
