We can’t claim that this White House event is at all related to our recent visit to the White House, but either way we are pleased. Several grantees and members of the Foundation-sponsored Eldercare Workforce Alliance were present, including representatives of the National Partnership for Women and Families and NCCNHR, and Jennie Chin Hansen of AARP.
Kudos to Michelle Obama for speaking out on the importance of helping older women. We are very glad that she is using her influence to encourage our lawmakers to remember our mothers and grandmothers as they craft health care reform.
