AHA Action Community Informational Webinar 1: Creating Age-Friendly Health Systems

AHA AFHS call

The American Hospital Association (AHA) is holding an informational webinar on June 10 on creating Age-Friendly Health Systems and how to join the movement.

Across the country, hospitals, clinics, long-term care sites and other types of care sites are becoming Age-Friendly Health Systems as they implement the 4Ms Framework - what matters, medications, mentation and mobility - to provide high-quality care that meets the unique needs of older adults. In this informational webinar, learn about the importance and impact of the 4Ms Framework, hear bright spots in the field integrating value-based, age-friendly care and understand the benefits of joining AHA's next Age-Friendly Health Systems Action Community, convening this September 2021. To mark Community Health Improvement Week, a leader at AdventHealth Hendersonville will share the hospital's story of becoming an Age-Friendly Health System and bridging clinical care and community health to improve the health and well-being of older adults.

Speakers include:

  • Marie Cleary-Fishman, MS, MBA, Vice President, Clinical Quality, American Hospital Association
  • Jessica Dean, MBA, Director of Practice Operations, AdventHealth Hendersonville
  • Dr. Anna Hick, M.D., Geriatrician, AdventHealth Hendersonville
