The Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB) has released insights on standards and measures for healthy aging.

PHAB works to promote and protect the health of the public by advancing the quality and performance of all public health departments in the United States through national public health department accreditation. PHAB encourages health departments to include initiatives and strategies focused on healthy aging and the creation of an Age-Friendly Public Health System (AFPHS). PHAB has released several documents to guide health systems on how to gain accreditation and how Age Friendly Public Health Systems can improve care for older adults. The documents are as follows:
