The Center to Advance Palliative Care (CAPC) is hosting a webinar briefing, "Best and Worst States Providing Access to Palliative Care," on October 4.

CAPC Director, Diane E. Meier, MD, FACP, FAAHM, will discuss the findings and implications of the 2019 report, "America's Care of Serious Illness: A State-by-State Report Card on Access to Palliative Care in Our Nation's Hospitals." The 2019 State-by-State Report Card, conducted by CAPC and the National Palliative Care Research Center (NPCRC), represents the prevalence of hospital palliative care in the U.S. This report will be released on September 26th on Capitol Hill.

The October briefing will cover how individual states fared in the study, comment on policy implications, and discuss how to leverage the findings to benefit individual organizations and programs.
