New York, NY (June 12, 2019) – The John A. Hartford Foundation today announced that Liam Donohue has been elected to its Board of Trustees. Mr. Donohue has been an active venture capital investor for the past 24 years. He founded and currently leads health care investing for .406 Ventures, a leading early-stage enterprise IT and health care investor, focusing on companies that are bringing disruptive technology, systems and services in support of improved clinical delivery and patient experience. He was formerly a Principal at Foster Management, a venture capital fund focused on health care services investments and he also co-founded Arcadia Partners, a fund investing in early-stage technology-enabled education and health care companies.

Early in his career, Liam did strategy consulting work with Booz, Allen & Hamilton, starting in their Philadelphia office and later opening and running the firm’s office in Budapest, Hungary. Mr. Donohue received an MBA from Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business and a BS in Chemistry from Georgetown University. He is a member of the Board of the New England Venture Capital Association and the Center for Private Equity at Dartmouth’s Tuck School.
