NASHP Webinar: Respite Care Provider Training Webinar - Lessons from the States
The National Academy for State Health Policy (NASHP) is holding a webinar August 28 on "Respite Care Provider Training Webinar: Lessons from the States."
To recruit and train the respite workforce, ARCH National Respite Network and Resource Center, in partnership with NASHP and the Respite Care Association of Wisconsin, piloted a competency-based respite provider training and recruitment initiative in ten states.
During the webinar, participants will learn about the results of the pilot and how to build a training and recruitment program for respite providers in your state by accessing the new National Respite Care Provider Training and Replication Toolkit.
Two pilot states, Wisconsin and South Carolina, will highlight their approaches and lessons learned in building and scaling a respite provider recruitment and training initiative. Webinar speakers include:
- Lori Stalbaum, Lifespan Respite Program Federal Project Officer, Office of Supportive and Caregiver Services, Administration for Community Living
- Jill Kagan, Director, ARCH National Respite Network and Resource Center
- Lisa Schneider, Executive Director, Respite Care Association of Wisconsin
