ACL RAISE Inventory of Federal Caregiver Support Programs and Initiatives
The Administration for Community Living (ACL), in coordination with the RAISE Family Caregiving Advisory Council, has compiled a comprehensive inventory of federal programs that assist family caregivers.
The Inventory of Federal Caregiver Support Programs & Initiatives can be downloaded from ACL's RAISE Family Caregivers Act Initial Report to Congress webpage. When Congress passed the Recognize, Assist, Include, Support, and Engage Family Caregivers Act, it established the Family Caregiving Advisory Council and authorized the development of a National Family Caregiving Strategy by federal agencies in collaboration with the Council.
As of September 2021, 50+ program descriptions have been collected from federal agencies. The Council is using the inventory to increase awareness and understanding about programs to support caregivers and to transparency to avoid duplication of effort when developing the National Family Caregiving Strategy. The inventory will be updated as information becomes available.
