The AGING Initiative Request for Applications: Multiple Chronic Conditions Scholars Program

The NIH-funded Health Care Systems Research Network (HCSRN) and Older Americans Independence Centers (OAICs) AGING Initiative has announced the seventh cycle of the MCCs (Multiple Chronic Conditions) Scholars Program.

The AGING Initiative MCCs Scholars Program is intended to catalyze an expansion of interdisciplinary research relevant to the science of MCCs and aims to foster a nationwide community and mentoring network to extend and sustain MCCs research.

The AGING Initiative will select up to 16 scholars this year. The scholarships provide travel and accommodations for a training workshop and throughout the year, scholars participate in 6 webinar-based career development teleconferences based on 4 curricular elements:

    1. Significance of Multiple Chronic Conditions
    2. Resources and tools for MCCs researchers
    3. Enabling meaningful patient/caregiver engagement
    4. Professional/leadership development for investigators

Applications are due January 10.
