Grace Gifford, MPH

Executive Assistant

Grace Gifford is the executive assistant to the president at The John A. Hartford Foundation and serves as the board secretary to the foundation’s board of trustees. Her responsibilities include executive calendar and travel management, board meeting coordination, expense reporting, and facilitating communication and collaboration across staff, trustees and external partners.

Grace joined the foundation as a graduate communications and program intern, where she supported strategic communications and programmatic efforts related to healthy aging and health care improvement. She later served as office administrator.

Prior to joining the foundation, she worked as a marketing administrative assistant at the Wyckoff YMCA, where she managed website design, led social media efforts, and supported the organization's broader marketing and communications initiatives. She also served as a quality improvement intern with the Department of Pediatrics at Boston Children's Hospital and as an intern with the Behavioral Health Systems of Care team at the Rhode Island Executive Office of Health and Human Services. These experiences strengthened her interest in public health systems and healthcare quality improvement.

Grace holds an MPH in public health management from New York University and a BS in health policy and management from Providence College.
