AGS Resources: Driving Safety for Older Adults

The American Geriatrics Society (AGS) has released two sets of resources, one to assist clinicians of all kinds in optimizing care for older drivers and the other to assist older drivers and their caregivers.

The clinician bundle brings together 4 products developed through a cooperative agreement between AGS and the U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA):

  • Clinician's Guide to Assessing and Counseling Older Drivers, 4th Edition
  • Emergency Medicine and Trauma Specialist’s Quick Guide for Assessing and Counseling Older Drivers
  • Safe Older Drivers - Mobile App
  • AGS Virtual Patient Cases on the Assessment of Older Drivers - will be added soon
