The Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) held an Age-Friendly Health Systems educational webinar April 14, "The 4Ms and Telehealth During COVID-19.”

Given the need to prevent unnecessary exposure to the coronavirus, many people, especially older adults, are increasing their use of telehealth. Led by Dr. Andrea Schwartz from the Boston VA Healthcare System and Dr. Laurence Solberg from the North Florida/South Georgia VA Healthcare System, the webinar presented practical, step-by-step guidance on how to use the Age-Friendly Health Systems '4Ms' framework to organize a telehealth visit with older adults.

Dr. Solberg's document of suggested scripting for telehealth visits was also shared. IHI also released a blog on telehealth by Dr. Solberg, “The Keys to Effective Telemedicine for Older Adults.” The blog speaks to the advantages of telemedicine and how to integrate it into Age-Friendly care.
