The Center to Advance Palliative Care (CAPC) has launched a competition, The John A. Hartford Foundation Tipping Point Challenge, which is an innovation and quality improvement challenge to spread palliative care skills among all clinicians.

As part of it's 20th Anniversary, CAPC invites all member organizations and staff to participate in the challenge. There are four challenge categories, two in CAPC course completions and two in CAPC designations.

The goals of the Tipping Point Challenge are twofold:

  • to increase the number of palliative care specialists maintaining the highest level of all specialist palliative care skills;
  • to increase the number of other specialties and disciplines enhancing their skills in communication, pain management, and symptom management.

CAPC has posted a How-To Guide, Tipping Point Challenge Top Tips, a Spread the Word template and Video Case examples.
