Modern Healthcare Webinar: Age-Friendly Care in the Time of COVID-19

Modern Healthcare held a webinar on September 3, "Age-Friendly Care in the Time of COVID-19."

On this webinar, experts in the care of older adults and representatives from two health systems discussed how they are integrating core principles from the Age-Friendly Health Systems movement into their responses to COVID-19. The webinar also explored how age-friendly care can address the pandemic’s disproportionate effect on older adults.

Age-Friendly Health Systems is an initiative of The John A. Hartford Foundation (JAHF) and the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI), in partnership with the American Hospital Association (AHA) and the Catholic Health Association of the United States.

Information was shared about the AHA's next Age-Friendly Health Systems Action Community, a freely available, 7-month learning opportunity for health systems to adopt the 4Ms framework for age-friendly care.
