Webinar Recording & Report: Key Findings on the Perceptions of Palliative Care

The Center to Advance Palliative Care (CAPC) held a webinar briefing, "Key Findings on the Perceptions of Palliative Care," on a recently released report.

Diane Meier, MD, FACP, FAAHPM, CAPC Director and Lisa Morgan, Chief, Marketing and Communications at CAPC, discussed the latest and most comprehensive research to date on perceptions and attitudes toward palliative care.

Dr. Meier reported on the key findings from new qualitative and quantitative research among the consumer and referring physician audiences, including:

  • Awareness, perceptions, attitudes, and interest in palliative care and how they may have shifted in recent years
  • Barriers to using palliative care
  • Terminology, definitions, and messaging to be used when discussing palliative care with key audiences
