The Center to Advance Palliative Care (CAPC) held a webinar on March 18, “Palliative Care and the Impact of COVID-19.”

During these challenging times, it is important for the community caring for vulnerable patients with serious illness to come together to support one another and provide a calm, focused approach to patient care. The patient population that we care for is at the highest risk from COVID-19, and we have unique expertise that will be critical for our health systems during this crisis. The webinar talked about updates on what experts are seeing, hearing, and learning about the impact of COVID-19.

Speakers included:

  • Diane E. Meier, MD, FACP, FAAHPM – Director, Center to Advance Palliative Care
  • R. Sean Morrison, MD – Co-Director, Patty and Jay Baker National Palliative Care Center and Howard C. Katz Professor and Chair, Brookdale Department of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai
