GIA Forum: An Invitation to the Rural Health and Aging Funders Collaborative

GIA Rural Forum

Grantmakers in Aging (GIA) has announced a new forum for funders interested in rural aging and health to participate in the Rural Health and Aging Funders Collaborative.

This funders forum will build on five years of work that GIA has been facilitating around rural aging. The collaborative will meet bimonthly, members will be asked to fully participate by sharing and asking questions, and each call will focus on an area of concern within rural areas, such as access to health care or transportation. GIA has posted a Rural Health & Aging Funders Collaborative Interest Survey.

The upcoming call schedule is:

  • July 31, 2019
  • September 25, 2019
  • November 20, 2019
  • January 29, 2020
  • March 18, 2020
  • May 27, 2020
  • July 29, 2020

All calls will take place from 2:00 - 3:00PM Eastern Standard Time.

If you are interested in participating in the collaborative, please contact Emily Baransy, GIA's Director of Operations & Program Development, at ebaransy@giaging.org.
