2025 DNV Healthcare Symposium: Building the Future
DNV Healthcare is hosting its annual 2025 DNV Healthcare Symposium October 20-23 in Costa Mesa, California, titled "Building the Future."
The 13th Healthcare Symposium will bring together healthcare professionals from across the country to share best practices, explore innovative strategies and strengthen connections across care settings.
Hosted by DNV Healthcare, an accrediting body and standards organization working to advance patient safety, quality and outcomes in healthcare, this event is the network's largest annual learning gathering focused on improving patient care and safety.
Event highlights include:
- Keynote from Ryan Dusick (licensed therapist, founding drummer of Maroon 5, author and mental health advocate) on resilience, reinvention and purpose.
- Interactive peer-to-peer breakout sessions and industry updates.
- Networking opportunities with healthcare leaders and DNV’s leadership team.
- The Innovation of the Year Award presentation.
JAHF's senior program officer Leslie J. Pelton, MPA, will be giving an Age-Friendly Health Systems presentation on Tuesday, October 21 at 3:20 p.m. PT, titled, "Age-Friendly Health Systems: Improving Care and Outcomes for Older Adults." The session will cover:
- The 4Ms Framework (What Matters, Medication, Mentation and Mobility) and its impact on older adults’ outcomes.
- Steps to implement the 4Ms and align with the CMS Age-Friendly Hospital Measure.
- Strategies to spread and sustain the 4Ms across care settings.
Leslie J. Pelton will be joined by speakers Timothy Farrell, MD, AGSF (Professor of Medicine, University of Utah Health); Jorie Butler, PhD (Associate Professor, Geriatrics and Bioinformatics, University of Utah Health); Camille Burnett, PhD (Vice President, Health Equity, Institute for Healthcare Improvement); and Amanda Meier, BSW, MA (Program Manager, Age-Friendly Health System, Institute for Healthcare Improvement).
