Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services: Report on the Study of the Acute Hospital Care at Home Initiative
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has released its report and condensed fact sheet on the Study of the Acute Hospital Care at Home (AHCAH) Initiative.
The September 2024 study utilized the most reliable quantitative and qualitative data on AHCAH to compare it with traditional hospital inpatient groups. The report outlines the findings of the study and highlights future considerations to tackle current limitations in data, analysis, and measurement. This report will be an important part of the ongoing discussions about an extension of the waiver and legislation that will not be fully considered until after the election.
