Defeat Malnutrition Today Coalition Webinar Building Age Friendly Hospitals The Role of Nutrition Care

The Defeat Malnutrition Today Coalition is hosting a webinar March 25 on, "Building Age-Friendly Hospitals: The Role of Nutrition Care."

Since January, hospitals have been implementing the Age-Friendly Hospital quality measure to improve care for patients 65 and older. This webinar will give an overview of the measure and how nutrition care plays a vital role in better health outcomes.

The session is for both clinical and community-based professionals working to support older adults. Learn practical steps to incorporate malnutrition screening into your hospital's age-friendly efforts and build stronger hospital-community connections.

Webinar speakers will talk about the Age-Friendly Health Systems initiative's 4Ms Framework, (what Matters, Medication, Mentation and Mobility), highlight how hospitals are integrating malnutrition screening and discuss the importance of community partnerships in supporting patients after discharge.

Speakers include JAHF's senior program consultant, Dr. Cheryl Phillips, and Grady Health's Dr. Ugochi Ohuabunwa and Kathy Taylor.
