GEDC Webinar Recording: Delirium in the Geriatric Emergency Department - Processes and Possibilities
The Geriatric Emergency Department Collaborative (GEDC) held a webinar on April 18, "Delirium in the Geriatric Emergency Department (ED): Processes and Possibilities.”
The webinar panelists considered challenges and pitfalls in ED management of delirium – and talked about how we can do better. In addition, participants learnt about three principal screening tools for delirium in the ED – the 4AT and the DTS/bCAM and the CAM, heard first-person stories about ED’s with delirium assessment pathways and reviewed an important resource in implementing delirium processes in any ED – the ED-DEL.
