Generations Now Blog: Preparing for the Future - Using Data to Support Aging in America
The American Society on Aging's (ASA) Generations Now has published a blog, "Preparing for the Future: Using Data to Support Aging in America."
As the U.S. population ages, leveraging data becomes essential to address the evolving needs of older adults. This blog explores how data can drive smarter policies and programs — highlighting the National Aging Readiness Dashboard, a new tool designed to track progress and readiness across states.
Developed by West Health, the dashboard helps identify where states are leading or lagging in key areas like healthcare, housing and caregiving. It offers a data-driven path toward a more age-friendly future and is designed to help professionals working on behalf of older adults, including developing or implementing Multisector Plans for Aging.
In addition, the Multisector Plan for Aging (MPA) website has been refreshed to a more user-friendly and comprehensive hub for those working to create coordinated systems that promote healthy aging.
