The George Washington University 2026 Age-Friendly Ecosystem Summit
The George Washington University (GW) Center for Aging, Health and Humanities will host the 2026 Age-Friendly Ecosystem Summit virtually this fall over four dates: October 8, 15, 22 and 29.
Each session is built around a different aspect of the age-friendly landscape:
Oct. 8: From Age-Friendly Initiatives to Longevity-Readiness: Strategies to Navigate Challenges
Speakers will discuss how age-friendly and longevity-readiness efforts can work across sectors to help people live longer, healthier and more connected lives.
Oct. 15: The Invisible Workforce: Care Partners in Crisis and the Path Forward
Learn about policies, programs and cross-sector approaches to better support family caregivers and the paid care workforce.
Oct. 22: Mind Matters: Prioritizing Brain Health Across the Age-Friendly Ecosystem
Speakers will highlight approaches to promoting brain health, preventing cognitive decline, and creating more dementia-friendly health systems and communities.
Oct. 29: More Than Shelter: Housing, Loneliness, and Social Connection
Learn how housing and community design can reduce social isolation and strengthen connection, including through home sharing and intergenerational housing models.
