The Hospital at Home Users Group (HaH), in partnership with the American Academy of Home Care Medicine (AAHCM), is holding a webinar on December 19, "Just in Case: What to do if Congress Doesn't Extend the AHCAH Waiver in 2024."

This webinar is intended for hospital and system leaders interested in learning about the opportunities and challenges associated with providing acute care in the home. In the absence of an extension (or even a delay) of the Acute Hospital Care at Home (AHCAH) Waiver, it will not be business-as-usual for most HaH programs. With this contingency in mind, health systems and hospitals are considering one “just-in-case” alternative–restructuring their programs under an ambulatory payment model.

Speakers will discuss more about what this option might look like and understand key considerations and potential administrative, billing, clinical and other changes that HaH programs may need to make. Speakers include:

  • Linda DeCherrie, MD, Vice President, Clinical Strategy and Implementation, Medically Home
  • Elizabeth De Pirro, MD, Medical Director, Presbyterian Complete Care, Hospital at Home, and Post-Acute Care, Presbyterian Healthcare Services
  • Lindsay Williams, PhD, MS, RN, NEA-BC, PHN, PMP, Director, Care at Home, Cedars-Sinai Health System
