The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Center for Elder Justice at the Hebrew Home at Riverdale is the nation’s first elder mistreatment shelter, residing within a well-respected skilled nursing facility.
The issue brief discusses how the Weinberg Center offers an elder abuse shelter model to address a critical gap in services for older adults, and talks about how this is an innovative approach to care that embeds cross-disciplinary elder abuse supports within the existing structure of a large integrated hospital system.
