The Moving Forward Nursing Home Quality Coalition is holding a Coalition Conversation webinar September 23 on, "Insights from the Household Model Working Group."
Moving Forward Coalition's Household Model Working Group has been exploring how to make nursing homes feel more like true homes. Evidence from household and Green House models, along with broader studies on care environments, shows that smaller, home-like settings can make a meaningful difference. The group examined how the household model is being adopted across the country, including engaging with HUD, commissioning research, and mapping state-level activity.
This session will share insights into how states are incentivizing the adoption of household-style nursing homes—smaller, home-like environments that improve resident experience and outcomes, and will include lessons from particular states and a summary of what states nationwide are doing to advance household model principles.
