NASEM Workshop Recording: Advancing Diagnostic Excellence for Older Adults
The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM) held a virtual workshop on July 21, "Advancing Diagnostic Excellence for Older Adults."
NASEM conducted an Advancing Diagnostic Excellence Series consisting of five one-day workshops. Each workshop is focusing on a different priority category of disease associated with a disproportionate share of diagnostic error and patient harm.
This July 21, 2022, the virtual workshop focused on advancing diagnostic excellence for older adults. It examined the current scientific landscape and research opportunities for improving diagnosis in older adults within the U.S. health care system.
