NDCC Webinar Series Session 2 Recording: GUIDE Participants Overcoming Challenges to Using Electronic Health Record to Implement Comprehensive Dementia Care

NDCC Webinar Series Session 2

The National Dementia Care Collaborative (NDCC) held session two of its webinar series on February 27 on, "Getting to Yes for Launch: GUIDE Participants Overcoming Challenges to Using Your Electronic Health Record to Implement Comprehensive Dementia Care."

During this event, three established-track GUIDE participants shared their experiences optimizing GUIDE operations within and around the Electronic Health Record (including examples from non-Epic systems). Their insights and advice was helpful to both established and new-track GUIDE participants.

Presenters included:

  • Thomas Bayer, MD, and Aman Nanda, MD, co-direct a comprehensive dementia care program implementing the GUIDE model at Brown Medicine, a clinical affiliate of Brown University. Brown Medicine has been adapting its electronic health record to support comprehensive dementia care workflows since 2021 and revised its EHR modifications from the ground up when implementing the GUIDE model.
  • Christi Rushnell, MBA, Chief Operations Office at My Memory Clinic. My Memory Clinic is a virtual clinic that has been providing high-quality, evidenced-based care in the state of Florida since 2022. It was selected as an established program provider for the GUIDE model.

This is part 2 of a webinar series focused on discussions to assist new and established sites implementing Guiding an Improved Dementia Experience (GUIDE). Previous webinars are recorded and the slides are available.
